Kyuss returning to Glasgow without Josh Homme

Following the success of frontman John Garcia's 'Plays Kyuss' tour earlier this year, fellow core members of the seminal Palm Desert stoner outfit are set to formally reunite and bring their lead-heavy repertoire to the UK under the banner 'Kyuss Lives' next spring.

Original bass player Nick Oliveri and drummer Brant Bjork will join Garcia for a run of UK dates beginning in Nottingham, with a worldwide tour in the planning.

"You know, the whole reason I ever considered doing this with Brant and Nick was the feeling we all shared during Hellfest this year," says Garcia. "To be able to play with such amazing musicians again is a dream come true for me."

Although Oliveri has expressed interest in joining Garcia previously, original guitarist Josh Homme is notable by his absence despite treating Queens of the Stone Age fans to a rare performance with Garcia in 2005. Bruno Fevery will instead take up six-string duties for the outing.

Kyuss Lives will play:

Thur 31st Nottingham, Rock City

April
Fri 1st Wolverhampton, Wulfrun Hall
Sat 2nd London, The Forum
Mon 4th Glasgow, O2 ABC
Tue 5th Manchester, Academy
Wed 6th Bristol, O2 Academy

Tickets are priced £17.50 (London £19.50) – subject to booking fee and will be available from 9am this Friday (5 Nov) from www.kililive.com.
