It's Business Time: New Zealand duo Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie take their comedy music act on the road next year

It's Business Time once again for Flight of the Conchords. As you're probably aware, the comedy duo failed to take flight on their scheduled UK tour dates as one of the Conchords – Bret McKenzie – managed to damage his wing, putting the tour on hold.

“Unfortunately I’ve broken two bones in my hand in a very rock ‘n’ roll injury – falling down some stairs," McKenzie wrote on Facebook at the time. “The doctors have informed me that I won’t be able to perform for several weeks. I’m sorry not to be able to do these upcoming shows but I’m looking forward to coming back and finishing the tour when I have two fully functioning hands.”

Now those rescheduled dates have been announced, with the duo returning to the UK and Ireland this June and July. The pair were origionally scheduled to play their only Scottish date in Glasgow tonight (26 Mar), but will now head to SSE Hydro on 18 June. The full list of rescheduled shows are below:

We thought it would be The Distant Future before we got to see genius musical comedy act Flight of the Conchords perform live again, but Ladies of the World (and gents too) can rejoice in the news that "New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo a capella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo" will be coming to a UK city near your with their rapturously daft songs.

The New Zealand duo Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie have parodied every genre of music over the years, from the Marvin Gaye-esque Business Time to the Black Eyed Peas-like Sugalumps to their hilarious David Bowie homage Bowie in Space. They even do some hip-hop in the form of their alter egos the Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros. Expect them to perform some of the above and much much more when they come to Glasgow’s Hydro and other venues across the UK.
