Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld announce collaborative new LP

Feature by News Team | 19 Feb 2015

Arcade Fire violinist Sarah Neufeld has joined forces with prodigious saxophonist Colin Stetson for a new album, entitled Never were the way she was.

The duo have worked together in the past, with Stetson collaborating with Arcade Fire and the pair teaming up with fellow Canadians Bell Orchestre, and Neufeld and Stetson are the only musicians to play on Never were... which was recorded live with no overdubs or looping. Listen to opening track 'The sun roars into view' below.

Neufeld released her debut solo album Hero Brother in 2013, while Stetson released the final part of his New History Warfare trilogy of albums in the same year.

Never were the way she was is out on 28 Apr, via Constellation Records.

Never were the way she was tracklist:
The sun roars into view
Won't be a thing to become
In the vespers
And still they move
With the dark hug of time
The rest of us
Never were the way she was
Flight
