SKJØR are a four-piece indie band characterised by dark, haunting vocals and dreamy guitars. Forming in 2014, the band consist of vocalist and guitarist Louise McCraw, lead guitarist Callum La Barre, bassist Jack Dorrian and drummer Toni McVey.

The band recorded their debut session for BBC Introducing back in May, and impressed in their set at Electric Fields festival earlier this month. We're delighted to reveal the video for Living Without You, the new track from the band and a collaboration between the band, videographer David P Scott, printmaker Pamela Scott and illustrator Paige Collins.

Describing the track and video, vocalist Louise McCraw says: “The lyrics in Living Without You were inspired by Paige Collins’ children’s book Alone. The main character in the book is a large monster-like shadow towering over the city whilst it sleeps. The book has no text so the readers are left to interpret the story themselves. We decided to project the illustrations onto the band in the music video. It was really cool to be able to show fans the very images that inspired us to write the song.”

SKJØR launch their new single at The Caves in Edinburgh on 5 Oct in a STV Children's Appeal fundraiser alongside Be Like Pablo and Half Formed Things; they also play Tunnels in Aberdeen on 6 Oct with Chester pop-punk trio Peaness.
