Tunng @ Stereo, 22 July

Article by Ryan Drever | 19 Jul 2010

Originally a studio collaboration between London-based songwriters Mike Lindsay and Sam Genders – who has since relinquished his creative duties – Tunng have since blossomed into a hard-working musical collective, releasing four albums in the past five years.

Often clumsily labeled "electro-folk" on account of their ethereal mix of glitches and strums, the band have slowly evolved from lo-fi dreamy sketchwork into bold, though equally explorative, pieces of work, in keeping with their live intensity. Making their way to Stereo this month following their recently released fourth record ...And Then We Saw Land, Tunng are sure to provide ample summer's night entertainment. [Ryan Drever]
