The Prodigy @ Carling Academy, 8 Dec

Still an essential act.

Article by Michael Slevin | 17 Nov 2008

After a brief hiatus, The Prodigy, the essential rave band, are back on the touring circuit, having played at numerous festivals over the summer. Starting off with a concert hall tour before moving onto larger arenas, the guys are bringing their epic blend of big beats to the UK, stopping off at the Carling Academy for their Glasgow stop, before rocking out the SECC in April 2009. Guaranteed to play all the classics such as Voodoo People, Breathe and Spitfire alongside new showstoppers including the brilliant World’s On Fire, the Essex trio are well overdue another tour, let alone two. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a true firestarter, or if you simply happen to be in the place, The Prodigy will get you on your feet with their relentless rhythms. As essential an act today as they ever were.
