More sober than he's been in years, expect Ryan Adams' erratic live show to be a more polished affair this time out

For a man not unknown to put out three albums in similar time, the year long wait for Cardinology is a lifetime in Ryan Adams years. But with the album reported to be his best in some time, it would appear that the now clean-cut, sober Adams is more diligent than his former reckless self. Alongside him, The Cardinals are perhaps the only contemporary backing act to warrant a mention alongside the Holy Trinity of The E Street Band, Crazy Horse and The Bad Seeds. For those lucky enough to have tickets, this month's show in Auld Reekie's meticulously resurrected Picture House promises to be a belter.

7pm, £24.50

Cardinology is released on 27 Oct via Lost Highway
