The Black Keys @ Queen's Hall, 16 Nov

Article by Jason Morton | 29 Oct 2008

Bringing to a close a year that saw them release a white-hot collaboration with hip-hop hit-maker Danger Mouse, The Black Keys will bring their oil-stained garage blues back to Alba for a late-autumn gig at Queens Hall on the 16th. The Keys rarely fail to deliver a powerful live performance packed with heavy riffs, despite being only a two-piece, and this is set to be bolstered by the diversity of material now ready for play from Attack and Release. New Zealander Liam Finn (son of Neil), a purveyor of experimental guitar pop who recently opened for Eddie Vedder on his North American solo tour, will support. [Jason Morton]
