Melodic Glasgow rockers embark on a short Scottish tour

Article by Ryan Drever | 26 Sep 2008

Energised by a summer tour and a slot on the stage of damn near every festival in Scotland (including T in the Park and goNORTH), Glasgow foursome Jocasta Sleeps are back on the road and set to expose their joyous melodic rock gems to the capital. Having only formed a couple of years ago, this last year alone has seen the band steadily climb the Glasgow gig ladder, gathering an emerging fanbase and often critical thumbs up for good measure. Although comparisons can be made to Emo-crossovers like Minus The Bear or Jimmy Eat World, or perhaps even fellow Scots like Twin Atlantic and Biffy Clyro, Jocasta Sleeps package their melancholic songs with energetic guitar-laden rock. Standout tracks like The Crayfish Cocktail and Baggy Needles are sure to whip up a storm in the Wee Red Bar, so head down and catch them now before they've no choice but to play big black halls.
