Hinterland: Edie Sedgwick @ The Admiral Bar, 30 Apr

Article by Ryan Drever | 24 Apr 2009

Edie Sedgwick, according to 'her' bio, is the transgendered reincarnation of the once famous Andy Warhol muse with the same name. Here to save the world through elaborate shows, video projections and songs about celebrities.,Taking inspiration from the likes of Angelina Jolie, Rob Lowe, and Sean Connery, to name but a few, Sedgwick is an intriguingly bizzarre artist and concept that begs to be seen by the entire world. Sure to make her presence known, she's playing on the back of last year's brilliantly eccentric Things Are Getting Sinister And Sinisterer - a collection of intelligent and warped electronic numbers, co-produced and released by Dischord/Fugazi's Ian Mackaye. She'll be taking to the stage at The Admiral as part of an almost unbelievably eclectic line-up at next week's Hinterland Festival in Glasgow. Admit it, you're at least a little curious.

Hinterland takes place on 30 Apr - 1 May.
