Halt Bar Hijack @ The Halt Bar, 12-14 June

Three years in and the Halt Bar on the student Mecca that is Woodlands Road continues to gorge itself on some of Scotland's finest underground acts once yearly. This June the Hijack sees past favourites like Black Rat Death Squad and Super Adventure Club joined by the buoyant Mitchell Museum and pseudo-retro favourites Punch and The Apostles. Also making an unlikely appearance are the viscous doom lifers Black Sun juxtaposed with Hindle Wakes, newly risen from the ashes of alt-pop geniuses Bad Dancer.
It's an ecclectic and heady mix of quality sounds, hugely deserving of the Glaswegian, independent musical community's attention.
