Deerhunter @ Stereo, Glasgow, 20 May

Article by Gordon Bruce | 23 Apr 2009

Bradford Cox, lead singer with arty shoegaze revivalists Deerhunter, is a giant, in more ways than one. If you were to delve into the mind of this towering figure, you’d find nothing less than a creative explosion: in one year he conducted his four-man orchestra through not one but two incredible albums which stunned the world into believing that every guitar should be put through catatonic reverb. Furthermore he effortlessly recorded another Atlas Sound album filled with cosmic musical delights. To see this prolific master in his eclectic wardrobe (dresses are not uncommon), head down to Stereo and gape in awe.
