Chairlift @ Stereo, 17 May

Article by Lauren Mayberry | 28 Apr 2009

Fresh-faced members of the New York scene that spawned the likes of MGMT and Apache Beat, Brooklyn’s Chairlift are not to be written off as part of the fad. Probably most familiar to you for ‘the song that was in that iPod advert’ (also known as Bruises, taken from their album Does You Inspire You, released in November last year), the spacey female-fronted three-piece have been on almost every ‘ones to watch’ list since. Following a tour with Peter, Bjorn & John, the electronic indie-pop outfit's date should go down in the diary of fans of Yeasayer and Of Montreal.
