If it’s true though, the upcoming Bulleit Originals event at the Arches in Glasgow would need a hefty set of scales to weigh all the soul on offer that night. From the heyday of 60s funk, big-voiced James Brown collaborator Martha High will share the bill with eminent British innovators Soul II Soul, and at the other end of the spectrum, Gilles Peterson favourite Ben Westbeech will be baring his modern electronic soul for all.
