A Place To Bury Strangers @ Nice 'n' Sleazy, 30 Nov

Article by Marta Nelson | 05 Nov 2008

If you find yourself longing for the cacophony of garage band reverb and distortion mixed with psychedelic pop, you’re in luck. A Place To Bury Strangers are including a stop in the UK while breaking from their European support gig with MGMT. Nothing is ever written about APTBS without mentioning their ear drum shredding tendencies when playing live, so consider yourself warned. But frontman Oliver Ackermann is known for designing and building his own pedals, so it gives a glimpse into the organic nature of the immense, confusing but strangely symphonic sound produced by the New York trio.
