A clutch of new names have been added to the bill for this year’s Liverpool Sound City festival at the city’s Bramley Moore Dock in May.

Merseyside electronic producer Evian Christ, Canadian punks Fucked Up and Los Angeles indie rock quartet Dum Dum Girls are new to the line-up, while The Thurston Moore Band have also been added – the erstwhile Sonic Youth frontman gave a keynote speech at the conference portion of last year’s festival.

Slaves, Roni Size Reprazent, Dutch Uncles and Jane Weaver are also on the bill, while The Vaccines have been announced as the weekend’s final headliners, joining Glasgow indie mainstays Belle and Sebastian and psych-rockers The Flaming Lips. Ramones manager Danny Fields, James Barton of Creamfields festival and The Fall frontman Mark E. Smith are the keynote speakers for this year’s Sound City Conference.
