Trauma Center: Second Opinion(Atlus/Nintendo)

a well thought out and addictive game which has found its true home

Game Review by Josh Wilson | 08 Sep 2007
Making its way over from the DS, Trauma Center is in essence a light-hearted surgery sim. Points are awarded for steady hands and speed. The game plot is essentially (exactly?) the same as the DS: while this means DS veterans may not find enough to warrant a purchase, it does provide an excellent learning curve. The main differences between the two, and where the Wii really shines is the control system. Slightly clunky but well done on the DS, the Wiimote and Nunchuk make for the perfect set of surgery tools. Allowing for rapid selection and a more engrossing experience; Pinch the mote to pinch your forceps, then twist them to rotate bones and place them correctly. Throw in the new defibrillator kit, your healing touch and a plethora of interesting victims and you have a well thought out and addictive game which has found its true home, the Wii. [Josh Wilson]
