The Skinny Food and Drink Survey 2015: Ballot Page

Our fourth annual Food and Drink Survey gets under way this month – here's how (and why) you should get involved

Feature | 04 Sep 2014

Yes, time to dust off your notepads and pop on that t-shirt that’s ‘ketchup safe’ – it’s The Skinny’s annual readers’ Food and Drink Survey. This is the fourth edition of our yearly poll where we ask you – the readers of this fair magazine – to tell us where in Scotland and the Northwest of England you like to munch, slurp, booze and caffeinate.

We're looking for nominations of you favourite, tastiest venues in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Liverpool and Manchester. You don't have to know about all of them to enter – you can be as local or as national as you like in your answers. The most important thing is that you vote. Because this is a democracy, after all.

The categories

• Best pub
Of the thousands littered around your city, which is your favourite watering hole?

• Best cafe
When it's time for coffee and cake, or a nice cup of tea, where do you go?

• Best new place
Which's your favourite newcomer to the food scene this year?

• Best date place
If you need to impress a gentleman or a lady with good food, nice drinks and a lovely ambiance, where do you take them?

• Best place on the go
You're in a hurry, and you need food. Something that won't take long, but still tastes great. Where do you go? Quick, hurry...

• Favourite local beer
Hundreds of breweries big and small have popped up across Scotland and the Northwest. But which makes the best beer?

• Favourite food shop
Where do you go for that hard-to-find beer, incredibly smelly cheese, or chillis that blow your head clean off?

• Best international cuisine
Italian to Indonesian, Thai to Tex-Mex, which is your favourite place for food from beyond these shores?

You can find out all about last year's winners here.

Voting is now closed in our annual Food & Drink Survey – read the results in January 2015
