Scary Movie 4

SM4' is barely a movie, never mind scary or funny, the 4 supposedly there to prove they can count

Okay, hands up. Who was it asked for another 'Scary Movie'? Like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, 'Scary Movie 4' looms over the horizon, justifying its Frankenstein-like existence on that one spoof in whatever instalment it was you saw that actually made you laugh, and for which you must never forgive yourself. Ask not for whom the camera rolls, it rolls for thee. The 'Ghostbusters' gelatinous giant was a parody of the monster movie genre in a movie that managed to be simultaneously one of the biggest comedy movies and monster movies of all time. 'SM4' is barely a movie, never mind scary or funny, the '4' supposedly there to prove they can count. With its humour set to pun (Alien Tr-iPods? Don't make me laugh), this Hollywood Ritalin indiscriminately shoots down memories of actual films until our attention-deficient brain-cells go numb. Just say no. [Alec McLeod]
