Seinfeld: Season 8 Box Set

If you never got into Seinfeld, just know that it's The Best TV Show Ever Made (oh yes, it is). Like most superior flavours, it does take a bit of getting used to, and Season 8 is, conversely, a good place to start. This season was made after Larry David left the writing staff, so it's less dark than earlier seasons but somehow gains a very agreeable cartoonish tone, ideal for easing you into the series' style. Classic episodes from the 22 included here include The Comeback, where George goes to enormous lengths to salvage his dignity (and fails), The English Patient, where Elaine hates said film (but no-one else does) and the frankly bizarre The Bizarro Jerry, which is quite beyond explanation. As always with Seinfeld sets this is loaded with classy extras, but really, do you need any further reasons to buy The Best TV Show Ever Made? (Answer: no. Go buy). [Keir Hind]
