Brothers Grimm

Film Review by Megan Garriock | 17 Mar 2006
Film title: Brothers Grimm

We have all heard the stories: Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, even Rumpelstiltskin should ring a bell. However, Terry Gilliam's The Brothers Grimm is not the story time love affair it should be, but rather a forgettable and frustrating film. With Matt Damon and Heath Ledger taking on the titular leads, the acting for the most part remains solid throughout. Where the film falters is, ironically, in the story. The DVD features Gilliam's commentary on the film and several deleted scenes. But you will have to survive the film itself first. A grim fate indeed. [Megan Garriock]

Released on March 13.
