Oxjam Festival @ Ashton Lane, Glasgow, 26 Oct

Article by Euan Ferguson | 24 Oct 2008

Since its humble beginnings as a 19th century backstreet of stables, Ashton Lane has grown to be one of the coolest streets in Glasgow. This Sunday, there’s an even better reason for paying it a visit as it plays host to the Oxjam Festival. They’ve put together a fine selection of 60 acts, all picked to represent the best of unsigned new Scottish talent, all doing it for a good cause. It’s a great chance to see the likes of Emma Curran, Eagleowl, Withered Hand, Odeon Beat Club, Meursault, and Le Reno Amps in a unique setting. The event is free and unticketed, so just turn up and remember the donations to Oxfam while you’re there! [Euan Ferguson]

2pm, Free (with kind donations very welcome)
