Watch out, eardrums: new one-day festival WRONG, which “aims to bring together merchants of all varieties of weird and filthy rock music to create something special,” is coming to Liverpool's North Docklands in the Spring.

Organised by Liverpool-based record label Loner Noise, they hope that the festival will fill a hole in Liverpool’s music scene. “Liverpool isn't always known for its heavier underground rock scene,” they write, “but WRONG intends to tie together an extremely talented if sometimes overlooked pool of great, visceral and exciting bands, as well as bringing in high profile bands who are leaders and legends of the freakscene.”

The festival will be spread over three venues across the North Docklands: the Kazimier team's Invisible Wind Factory, new hotspot North Shore Troubadour and DIY stalwarts Drop the Dumbulls. Loner Noise promise 30 bands playing across the three stages, from afternoon until late, with the party heading into the wee hours.

Six acts have been announced so far, and it’s a pleasingly eclectic bunch. Brighton’s finest surf-doom outfit The Wytches will bring their brand of baroque 'n' roll. Heck, described as “one of the most dangerous live bands in the world right now” also play, as do legendary underground heroes Part Chimp.

Glasgow’s The Cosmic Dead will bring some space rock; noise rocker Blacklisters (“hands down one of the filthiest bands in the country”) are also on the bill; and this initial line-up is rounded out by Elevant, from the Loner Noise  label.
