Gottwood festival announces 2017 line-up

A live set from Lindstrøm, a Gottwood debut from The Black Madonna and perennial favourites like Roman Flügel are just some of the highlights on the bill for the Welsh dance music festival.

"No British festival assaults the senses in quite the same way," ran our review of last year's Gottwood festival, and this year's line-up looks set to deliver an equally intense experience.

The familiar setting of an Anglesey wood (fondly known as 'Gottwood Forest') will welcome a mix of Gottwood veterans and rising stars, from Hamburg's Extrawelt with their energetic live show to Australia's Harvey Sutherland performing with his band Bermuda, via Hunee's Rush Hour compatriot Antal, Canadian analogue synth master Mathew Johnson, lo-fi German producer Moomin and a special back-to-back set from Erol Alkan and Leon Vynehall.

Norwegian producer Lindstrøm presents a much-anticipated live show, The Black Madonna makes her first Gottwood appearance, and big names like Roman Flügel and Move D join artists at the current vanguard of electronic music including Helena Hauff

As usual Manchester enjoys a good showing with Ruf Dug and the LEVELZ crew among those representing the city, while promoters lending firepower to Gottwood's booking prowess include the Manc-based Full Beam outfit, plus Tom Blip's Blip Discs and Hamburg's Golden Pudel club.
