Carnival Fifty Six festival unveils 2017 line-up

The new festival is headlined by Mark Ronson, with a host of great Scottish bands on the undercard

The line-up for the inaugural Carnival Fifty Six festival in Dundee this August has been revealed, with Mark Ronson leading the initial line-up. Ronson tops the bill on the festival's first night, with chart-botherers Rudimental and Clean Bandit headlining the second day.

Further down the bill are a plethora of up-and-coming and established bands from across Scotland and beyond. Saturday's line-up features electro post-punks WHITE, Jonnie Common, Oli Bayston's electro project Boxed In and Glasgow guitar pop four-piece The Van T's, while on Sunday Be Charlotte, Elle Exxe, Leith-based tropical indie crew Indigo Velvet and Dundee rockers Fat Goth are all on the bill. The festival's DJ line-up features sets from Hot Chip and Basement Jaxx, as well as Sub Club duo Harri & Domenic and the ever-popular Denis Sulta.
