Article by News Team | 06 Feb 2014

The first lineup announcement for the Beacons Festival (7-10 Aug), taking place at the Funkirk Estate in Skipton, has one of the best lineups in the UK this Summer on the strength of their initial announcement – they've got a whole host of favourites from the pages of The Skinny, including electronic pioneer Jon Hopkins, psych-rockers Hookworms, Nicolas Jaar's DARKSIDE, post-punk legends The Fall, and our NW cover star in January, East India Youth, not to mention rising stars of Glasgow alternative electronic music Golden Teacher, among others.

Also joining the bill are bands Daughter, Nightmares On Wax, Girl Band, Toy, Eagulls, Melt Yourself Down, Pins, Sweet Baboo, Money, Traams, Cheatahs, Menace Beach, Champion Lover, and Autobahn, and DJs Daniel Avery, Mano Le Tough, Roman Flugel, Special Request, Max Graef and Aartekt. Here's some video from last year's festival, to give you an idea of what the atmosphere is like. Get tickets here.
