Keith Farnan 'Money Money Money'

Another challenging and hilarious show from Irish comic Keith Farnan

Most important question first: Tell us about your show.

The show is called Money, Money, Money and looks at, well, money! (I'm hoping to snare a few careless Abba fans as well) The show talks about how the Irish economy got into so much trouble but more importantly looks at how we might get out of the trouble we're in right now. I suppose it's a show that looks at the gambles we all take in our lives, happiness versus security, a question that we've all had to answer at some stage.

What's going to be unique about this performance of your show?

It's Glasgow, something always happens at the shows here. I'll be on my toes for the entire show. That's what will be unique. Last year, I performed "No Blacks, No Jews, No Dogs, No Irish" and one of the audience, who goes by the name @sturmwulfe on twitter told me afterwards it should have been called "No Signal" as the projector was on the whole show with that projected onto my forehead. At one stage, I was trying to think of a line and "Processing" appeared.

Due to a lawsuit, you're forced to rename your show. What do you call it?

As a former solicitor, if I lost the lawsuit, I'd have to call it "Isn't it a good thing I got out of Law?"

If your show was a dear friend who had just died, what would you say about it in your eulogy?

"In the darkest hour, when we'd sold not just this generation but several generations down the river, he tried to find a little spark of laughter and of hope in the world before someone from the European Central Bank sat on him"

What inspires you, other than comedy itself?

People who fight for causes they can't possibly win against odds they can't overcome with resources they don't have. Roll on Scottish Independence.

Is there anything in particular that you're looking forward to about playing in Glasgow?

See above

Or anything you're dreading?

Where do you stand on Scottish Independence?

See above.

What's your favourite comedy festival in the world?

Ah, c'mon really, how needy can a comedy festival be that it needs my affirmation. OK, sure, Glasgow. God, I feel dirty.

If you were organising a fantasy comedy night, who would you have as MC, support and main act?

MC –Dermot Morgan; Support Lenny Bruce; Main – Patton Oswalt

Who else are you going to see during the Glasgow Festival?

I'll try and catch Martin Bigpig Mor just cause he's on before me, and I'd really like to see one of his own shows, I've only seen him MC.

Would you like to make a disparaging comment about the Edinburgh Fringe in order to appeal to the Glasgow public? (Don't worry, nobody will remember this by August)

I really get a kick out of the Edinburgh Fringe, it's like bungee jumping into a pool of broken glass.

Regional current affairs. Fill in the blank space: RANGERS _____ LOL

RANGERS - I think Celtic should fund them and save them from liquidation and then be allowed to rename the team and pick their jerseys, and their tutus and their frilly hats.
