Most important question first: Tell us about your show.

It’s a retrospective of my life, or at least the parts of it that I’ve written jokes about.

Due to a lawsuit, you're forced to rename your show. What do you call it?

I had an idea that I would call my first ever show “Will Setchell is not appearing on this poster.” Then have a blank poster to advertise it. I dropped that idea when I realised how stupid it is.

If your show was a dear friend who had just died, what would you say about it in your eulogy?

You tried so hard, you pretentious fool, to pretend you were art - but in the end you contained the word ‘fingering’ twice and so ‘twas all for naught.

Is there anything in particular that you're looking forward to about playing in Glasgow?

Nope, I live here. Frankly folks are lucky I'm not demanding they turn up at my house and hear me deliver my show from my bed or on the toilet or something.

What's your favourite comedy festival in the world?

I have to say this one right? This one. Definitely not Edinburgh with its three week long sleepless holiday from normality where I get to do whatever mental shit I feel like almost every day. Yeah, not that.

If you were organising a fantasy comedy night, who would you have as MC, support and main act?

MC: Kitson, Support: Josie Long, Headline: a split bill between Simon Munnery and Robin Ince. A year or so ago I would’ve said Stewart Lee to headline but if you arranged that gig he’d probably just appear at the bar, drawn by the weight of intellectual comedy talent and travelling through space time from whatever Daily Mail baiting activity he was engaged in at that moment.

Who else are you going to see during the Glasgow Festival?

My friends the sketch troupe The Impenetrable Click (which I'm totally not a member of) Sarah Cassidy, Dogshit Johnson, Pearse James, Josie Long, Simon Munnery and probably some other stuff as well such as group show the Unemployables with Steven Halcrow, Darren Connell and Scott Gibson.

Twitter or Facebook?

Talking to people in the flesh, if only to staple a photo to their face then continually write, rub out and rewrite the caption for it until it’s amusing. Then wait for them to appreciate it by giving you a thumbs-up. Then get new friends.

Will Setchell 'I Feel Like I'm Dying and I'm Filled With Regret' is at Vespbar Sunday March 25. Show 8.30pm, tickets £5/£3. http://www.glasgowcomedyfestival.com/shows/#!/shows/378
