Most important question first: Tell us about your show.

It will be at least 90 minutes of premium quality pish talking, a mix of some of this years new material from the circuit and one or two other ideas I have been working on. I have written all brand new shows for the past five years and I am not doing that this year I am just going to do whatever comes into my head

What's going to be unique about this performance of your show?

It is the only one that I am doing

Due to a lawsuit, you're forced to rename your show. What do you call it?

God Knows! Yes that works. God Knows!

If your show was a dear friend who had just died, what would you say about it in your eulogy?

He will soon be re-incarnated as something even more brilliant.

What inspires you, other than comedy itself?

Alcoholics Anonymous.

Is there anything in particular that you're looking forward to about playing in Glasgow?

Not having to slow down my speech and being able to deploy Glesga words such as dobber, bawbag and plampff

Or anything you're dreading?

How to work in the words Boak, Spew, Buzzin the Glue, Dobber, Bawbag and Plampff sounds like a Glesga version of the firemen from Trumpton. Or was it Chigley? I always get those mixed up. Could have been Camberwick Green as well.

Where do you stand on Scottish Independence?

Odipens on what’s in it for me! I will wait and see what bribes I am offerred

Who would get your vote as president of an independent Scotland?

Frankie Boyle

What's your favourite comedy festival in the world?

Glesga’. It’s really easy to get to.

If you were organising a fantasy comedy night, who would you have as MC, support and main act?

Kevin Bridges, Frankie Boyle and Me – wait a minute that was the bill when I played The Stand last November.

Who else are you going to see during the Glasgow Festival?

My mum she has moved away to Arrochar to live so I try to visit once a week.
