Pleasance announce 2016 Edinburgh Fringe line-up

Feature by News Team | 12 May 2016

Pleasance have revealed details of their comedy and theatre programmes for the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

One of the so-called 'big four' Edinburgh Fringe venues, Pleasance will present 225 shows at their venues this August in their 31st year at the Fringe.

In comedy, there are new shows from two of last year's Fosters Comedy Award nominees; Nish Kumar presents Actions Speak Louder Than Words, Unless You Shout the Words Real Loud, while James Acaster follows up 2015 show Represent with new show Reset. Elsewhere, 2015 best newcomer nominees Larry Dean and sketch trio Daphne return with new material, and Kiri Pritchard-Mclean of Gein's Family Giftshop and Will Duggan of Fringe smash hit Funz and Gamez present solo shows.

In theatre, Theatre Ad Infinitum – the company behind five-star show Light and Ballad of the Burning Star – present new show Bucket List, mask theatre specialists Familie Flöz follow 2015's Hotel Paradiso with a reprise of Teatro Delusio, and Theatre Témoin present new show The Marked. This year's Pleasance theatre programme has a distinctly international flavour, with shows from the USA, France, Norway, Ireland and Hong Kong all featuring.
