Danny McLoughlin talks about his show. Don't trust him. He lies.

So then, tell us about your show?
My show is called The Truth, The Half-Truth, and Nothing Like The Truth. It's a little look into lies and true stories in my stand up. Can audiences tell what's true and what's not? Does it matter if something is true or not as long as it's funny ?

How have your previews been going?
Well and not so well, but always useful. Sometimes the most terrible previews yield great rewards and help you improve the show better than the stormers do.

How are you going to keep it fresh for the full three weeks?
Well, there is some audience participation in my show so hopefully every night will have elements of fresh in. However, I've heard my room this year is sweltering so I'll be probably be more worried about keeping myself fresh.

Do you have a guaranteed, surefire flyering technique?
Position myself next to the worst looking am-dram show on the mile and assure everyone I offer a flyer to that the am-dram production will be nowhere near my show

What's your health regime for the Fringe?
I'm definitely joining a gym. And trying to not eat shortbread, despite it being one of my favourite foods and more than readily available. I'm also taking up my own blender to juice some fruit and veg into smoothies.

What's the worst mistake people make at the Fringe?
Probably forgetting their coats thinking that a festival in August might be a bit sunny.

Last year's Fringe was all about the London riots. What major news event do you think will force you to hurriedly rewrite your 2012 show?
As much as I'd love to think otherwise, it's got to be the Olympics. Probably something to do with Andy Murray, being Scotland n' that.

Do you pay your taxes?
When I earn enough, I do indeed. Plus I've typed this on my phone, which is tax deductible now. So cheers.

What was your favourite joke when you were a kid?
Q: What do you call cheese that doesn't belong to you?
A: NACHO CHEESE!

How are you feeling about your debut Fringe show?
I'm terrified. The only thing I'm confident about is putting on a stone from comfort eating due to the mini breakdown that is undoubtedly on its way around week two.

For a show about lies and truth in comedy, how much of it is true and how much is porky pies?
All of it is true! Or is it?

What is the biggest whopper you've ever told?
The most innocent one I've told - one that won't get me into trouble here - is that my nan was head baker for Mr Kipling and knew him personally. I strung a guy along for a long time with that one.

Who else are you hoping to see while you're in Edinburgh?
Carl Donnelly is a favourite of mine, as is Tony Law. I'd also like to see some dudes I've never seen.
