There'll be shopping there'll be rocking...

On Saturday 24 July, loosen your purse strings, click your heels and mosey on down to the Made in the Shade Summertime Hop. The event is returning to The Roxy Art House in Edinburgh for the second time, where the Glasgow based girls will yet again play host to some forty unique designer-makers. Expect to be charmed by the selection of wares, with vintage fashion, stunning trinkets, photography and art as well as home furnishings all on offer, surely creating one of the finest alternative shopping events to hit the East Coast this summer.

To complement the creative merchandise there will be entertainment provided by the rockabilly country band, The Meatmen. The toe-tapping melodies of this Glaswegian trio will have you swaying your hips to their sassy dixie-tricks. If all of the swinging along to the honkytonk beats and browsing for handmade treasures leaves you in need of light refreshment, have no fear, as luckily there will be cups of tea and homemade cakes courtesy of Auntie M’s Cake Lounge. You can also create your own vintage portrait in the Made in the Shade Photo-booth.

Altogether it makes for a fantastic day out, so get rocking and start shopping!

Open 10.30am-5.00pm, £1 entry
