The making of Fleetwood Mac’s eleventh album Rumours is one of the greatest soap operas in music history, but despite – or perhaps because of – the band’s personal turmoil it resulted in some of the finest work they ever produced. Four decades later, Rumours has sold 45 million copies worldwide, making it one of the highest-selling albums of all time.
To mark Rumours’ 40th anniversary, the Transatlantic Ensemble have been performing the album in full in sell-out shows across the UK. The group, who are made up of top professional session musicians and classically trained vocalists, have already performed Rumours at Summerhall during their 2017 tour and will be back in the new year giving you a second chance to see this great albums performed live in full.
The upcoming show takes place Friday 9 February in the Summerhall Dissection Room. If you’re a fan of the album, this live performance by this incredible ensemble is something you should not miss.
