Zurich - Diamonds

Raising the bar for sleazy minimalism everywhere, this is one hell of a tune

Made up of an X-Factor (whatever that is) finalist and a former member of indie-rockers Marlowe, Zurich are twisted pop of the finest order, brimming with kitschy handclaps and fuzzed-up guitars. Their Golfrapp-esque Diamonds is going to be massive, but it's the Bruno Rocci remix that we're interested in, which fits it to a filthy electro bass reminiscent of Digitalism. Raising the bar for sleazy minimalism everywhere, this is one hell of a tune. [Liam Arnold]
