The KBC - Not Anymore

Works well to fuse their love of seventies funk and Northern soul

Single Review by Karen Taggart | 15 Jul 2006
Label: High Voltage Sounds
The KBC (James Mulholland, Richard Ormerod and Michael Brown) are a trio of old school friends originally from Preston, hoping to excite and inspire with their blend of guitars and electronic dance beats, and they certainly do! Already making waves in the industry, being compared with legendary Manchester bands New Order and Happy Mondays, previous singles have been championed by Radio 1's Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq, with 'Not Anymore' looking like it could really be the big one for these boys. Danceable bass grooves, pulsating drum beats and catchy guitar riffs are coupled with a memorable chorus. Frontman/guitarist Mulholland says, "it's perfect dance floor music", and works well to fuse their love of seventies funk and Northern soul with fantastic beats to create electrifying indie dance music.
