Spend the night jumping around like a lunatic having a time you probably won't remember too clearly - but you'll be back to repeat pretty damn quickly.

Every Saturday night the indie kids in the know flock to the Edinburgh Art School's Wee Red Bar for what, over the years, has become a clubbing institution. Although it feels a little like a school disco for the cool kids, and catching sight of yourself in one of the mirrors surrounding the dancefloor while throwing down what you thought were some classic moves can be disconcerting, this is easily one of the best indie/rock nights in the country. The DJs pull vinyl from every era, often dropping tunes that you had long forgotten about but are overjoyed to hear, then following it up with something more contemporary that avoids being painfully mainstream. Take your friends and get loaded (it's a student bar so the drinks are cheap) and then spend the night jumping around like a lunatic having a time you probably won't remember too clearly - but you'll be back to repeat pretty damn quickly.
