TC - Watch the Ride

This boasts gritty bass melodies which will nag you for days

Single title: Watch the Ride
Artist: TC
Label: Harmless Records
Since a young TC quit school armed with naught but his Atari ST and sampler he has been rocking the dream that parents advise their kids to give up on. Dillinja snapped him up early on to release a handful of his kindergarten releases on Valve. The feverish acceleration of his career has led here - to Harmless Records' Watch the Ride series, who boast a legacy of compilations from new and established DJ talent. This anthemic, accessible record is guaranteed to have avid d'n'b heads and novices drooling alike. Amid the powerful selection of bangers from other artists, (Friction, Clipz, Taxman, Subfocus), TC demonstrates an infallible variety within his own material, and knows when to use it. Electronic, The Old Texaco Garage and Deep (Roni Size VIP mix) boast gritty bass melodies which will nag you for days, a testament to the compositional skills sitting alongside TC's flawless production methods. Soul Time and Rockstar might be a little cheesy, but in the context of the record they just work. Don't ask. Just dance. [Rosie McLean]
Release date: Out Now

TC hits Edinburgh on 2 May.
