SKINNYFEST 3: Sleazy Cheezy, Studio 24, Aug 11

Sleazy Cheezy is an experience that everyone should enjoy at least once

Article by Karen Taggart | 14 Aug 2006
Tonight's Sleazy Cheezy featured a live performance and album launch from rockers The Nukes, which set the theme for tonight's 'Atomic Burlesque'. Given the outrageous reputation of previous nights at the weird and wonderful cabaret club one was hoping for a larger crowd, or at least a few of the audience dressed up in their fanciest nuclear gear. Only the performers were putting in the effort outfit-wise - where has audience participation gone? However, a good old time was had by all, with classic tunes and of course the wonderful dancers giving everyone an eyeful of their most alluring attributes. Sleazy Cheezy is an experience that everyone should enjoy at least once, so any burlesque virgins should get down to the Studios for their second birthday bash 'Sin in the Suburbs' on Sept 8, when hopefully there'll be more desperate housewives and nosy neighbours to liven up the crowd.
