A tooth-grinding, air-punching set of their most dancefloor orientated tracks

Modeselektor's reputation has rightly gone from strength to strength with the one-two combo of Hello Mom and Happy Birthday!; loosening jaws to a gawp of bewildered incomprehension of just how the hell they pull off track after track of quality material. But although the sacrifice of some of their quirkier numbers from a multifaceted back catalogue is a sad loss, it's nonetheless a fair price for the streamlined live show, honed and drilled to a tooth-grinding, air-punching set of their most dancefloor orientated tracks. Capacity is surely reached and breached for this, the weekend's premier ticketed event, and it's the last time that they'll be justifiably be able to play a venue this small. It's with a mixture of excitement and sad reluctance that we wait for their return to what will no doubt be to a less appropriately grimey venue. [Jack McFarlane]
