For a free Friday night expect Fake to only get more popular

The launch of Studio 24's newest night had an underground clubbing feel about it, after dispensing with the expensive promotion and cover charges of more mainstream clubs. A proper journey through all the genres of electronic music was played out, the only prerequisites seeming to be that it was fast and filled the dancefloor. The hedonistic crowd lapped up every minute of it, and the small upstairs space felt more like a secret techno party. Highlight track of the night was Blue Monday but it's a guaranteed floor-filler everytime. Quality mixes were a feature of the evening, and for a free Friday night expect Fake to only get more popular. [Lucy Goddard]
