Eddie Kid feat Leo The Lion - Who Is The One?

Leaving any thriving band in the midst of success is a risky business, so kudos to keyboardist Eddie the Kid and vocalist Leo the Lion for having the cojones to leave the Mike Skinner-led Streets gang last year and go plough their own furrow. Who Is The One is their latest release on Kidology Records, and is a perfectly serviceable dancefloor tune that is lifted above the God-awful "get your hands in da air" house formula by a half-decent chorus. Nevertheless, they could easily be crawling back through Skinner's cat-flap this time next year. [Barry Jackson]
