Leading single Hmm, Hmm captures perfectly what Beenie Man is all about

Album title: Undisputed
Artist: Beenie Man
Label: Virgin
Beenie Man's new album 'Undisputed' is the self proclaimed King of the Dancehall's latest offering. Having released his first record at the tender age of seven the man clearly knows what he is doing as far as the genre of dancehall is concerned, and is often considered to be at the forefront of the genre as well as largely responsible for breaking it into the mainstream consciousness. Beenie has recruited a number of respectable producers to work with him this time around, namely Scott Storch, Don Corleon and Tony Kelly, as well as collaborating with artists such as Akon, Brooke Valentine, and reggaeton artist Voltio. Tracks like Chacka Dance, which features interpolations of the infamous song Land of a Thousand Dances, provide something to shake your booty to, and leading single Hmm, Hmm captures perfectly what Beenie Man is all about. If dancehall is your thing be sure to check it out. [Natalie Doyle]
