LPP’s Wake Up is a volcano foisting the sound-track of its own eruption’s impending carnage. Whether or not the poor folks living within the scolding lava’s vicinity will chose to run or simply stuff all available muffs into their ears is a moot issue. At least there was a warning, which is what I give you now. The French duo Le Petit Pilous, although a relatively unvarnished Boys Noise Records addition, have harboured the paroxysmic gadgetry richly employed by their stable-mates to turn youthful club audiences the world over into frothing, glow-stick fondu. Like Boys Noise and The Bloody Beetroots before them this appearance will have earth shattering consequences to anyone brave enough to deploy to Snafu’s floor. Make no bones about it, there’s nothing musically to preserve here. Simply the pressure release of 300-odd souls entombed in one gravely hot electronic basement.
