Huntleys and Palmers Audio Club return to the cosy environs of The Hetherington Research Club

Article by Colin Chapman | 05 Feb 2008
After a successful launch night in December with French re-edit master Pilooski, Huntleys and Palmers Audio Club return to the cosy environs of The Hetherington Research Club. For the first party of 2008 they welcome Michael Black, one half of German duo Unit 4 to the turntables. The Clone Records artists first came to our attention with the futuristic electro-disco of 2004's Body Dub. Though not a peak-time tool, it's still been a track that every serious DJs had in their playlists, from Carl Craig to Tiefschwarz, Trevor Jackson to Timo Maas. Since then the pair have released material under a variety of guises (Jupiter Black, The Isolators, U4ria) and provided a Unit 4 follow-up in the form of last year's New Day single. Aside from both running their Amontillado label, Michael has recently launched his own Aube imprint. On warm-up duties will be Sleazys' Damaged Goods resident, the moustachioed David Barbarossa.
