Tom Findlay and Black Grass, Buff Club, Glasgow, 28 Sept

SoCo Social, the new series of free gigs across intimate venues in Glasgow, London and Manchester are set to hit early Friday evenings (6pm-10pm) throughout 2007 and Jan 2008. Groove Armada's Tom Findlay will be getting close and personal (not that 'close'!) with fans in Glasgow on 28 Sept for a DJ set. Together with Andy Cato he formed Groove Armada in the mid 90s, starting as a club before growing into a production duo. Beginning with the singles 4 Tune Cookie and At the River, their debut album Northern Star was released in 1998, quickly followed with LP number two, Vertigo, in 1999 to critical acclaim and chart-climbing action. After mix album Back To Mine and 2001's Goodbye Country: Hello Nightclub, the hits kept coming, and the now well known funky groove flavours of Lovebox saw an even more successful change of direction for the group. Soundboy Rock, a pop-orientated effort with contributions from the likes of Mutya is currently doing the rounds on the airwaves and receiving storming reviews.
