Aiming to highlight the diversity and vibrancy of the Scottish music scene and the charitable nature of its people, the event sees emerging and established live bands and cutting edge DJs join forces, with all proceeds raised due to go to the cancer charity’s vital research.

The Easy Orchestra have quickly become a staple on Glasgow’s live scene over the last few years, thanks to their combination of easy-listening classics and ‘easy-style’ re-workings of modern hits, the trio also earning themselves a regular slot on MacAulay’s BBC Radio Scotland show.

Starting out in 2003, Edinburgh four-piece, Alfonzo recently signed with Glasgow based, ‘D Set Records’ and are currently working on their debut-album with award winning Scottish producer Jim Sutherland. Described as a 'hybrid of Jimi Hendrix, Jane's Addiction and Led Zeppelin', they’ve supported the likes of Snow Patrol, Doves and Feeder.

Hailing from Rosyth, The Draymin formed in 2005. Inspired by the likes of The Verve, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Stone Roses, their career highlights thus far have included appearances at T in the Park’s T-Break stage and the legendary Texan festival, SXSW last year. In 2008 they’ve won plaudits from Radio Scotland’s Jim Gellatly and Radio One’s Vic Galloway, played the Rockness, Live at Loch Lomond, Wickerman and Belladrum festivals and released their ‘Pushing Boundaries EP’.

Forming the DJ line-up will be former Soma Records A&R man and stalwart of the Glasgow club scene, Jim Hutchison and co-founder of Hum+Haw Records with acclaimed Scottish producer, Alex Smoke.

Joining him will be Dougal Perlman, director of online station, Radio Magnetic and promoter/resident DJ at Glasgow’s longest running Friday night, Kinky Afro and Radio Magnetic’s house music aficionado, Scott Problems.

Compere for the evening will be comedian Harry Gooch. Harry presents the comedic current affairs show ‘A Room With A Current View’ alongside partner-in-crime Dave Gooch on Radio Magnetic.
