Stereofunk In The Park, Strathclyde Country Park, Motherwell, 18 Aug

The latest in this year's batch of special summer outdoor party events sees the organisers, Scottish veterans Stereofunk (recently residing in Glasgow's B'lo), invite their house music faithful to descend upon Strathclyde Country Park for ten hours of premium quality club music. Now spread across three areas, the ante has been upped, but the atmosphere is set to remain intimate. This is not a T in the Park size event; think of it more as an open-air club on a grand scale. And with a mouth watering line-up of 30 DJs, ranging from globe-trotting chart toppers to up-and-coming local talent, it's easily the most value for money you'll get this weekend. To name but a few (Evin McFarlane & Iain Thomson (M8), Huggy (Stereotype), Steve Harran (Hed Kandi), Colin Sales (Colours) and more!), alongside the talents of the organisers themselves, there will be prestigious appearances by Radio 1's Trophy Twins, and Fedde 'Put your hands up for Detroit' le Grand.
