Spill @ The Twisted Wheel, Glasgow, 31 Jul

In a night that attempts to combat the dictatorship of electro and techno nights, it's fitting that Spill falls on the same evening as Pressure

This previews page, if not entire section is more often than not kept in a stranglehold by certain music genres. Techno, house, disco, drum 'n' bass, dubstep, the all encompassing electro tag and the niche market of fidget are all catered for regularly. It is a reflection of what nights are out there, but it's still pleasant to break away from expectations and explore something a bit different. One of the newest club night additions to the Twisted Wheel is Spill, taking place on the last Friday of the month. Created by "three friends who were bored of half arsed techno/electro nights that kept popping up here there and everywhere, drawing in 10 people then having to cancel". Spill takes its name form a B.Y.O.P. track and offers a riot grrrl, punk and grunge soundtrack in an attempt to provide an antitdote to those suffering from a severe case of electro fatigue.

11pm-3am, £3
