Soul:Shine is a new fortnightly event to hit the Wee Red Bar at Edinburgh College of Art, starting on the first and third Wednesday of every month. A variety of live acts and DJs will be spinning the funk, soul, Latin and liquid drum and bass tunes that rock your world. Not to mention classic jazz and electronica; Soul:Shine are keeping all the bases covered, and the buzz word for the new art and music event is surely 'eclectic'. The live aspect will be covered by a host of talented musicians, and visual artists to feed the eyes. On the 4th, Sub-Opt will be making an appearance, supported by the turntable skills of DJ Timea and Dave Lowe & Aesthetics, and Calem McIntyre's Latin Quarter on the 18th. At last, an alternative to We Are… Electric who have consistently held the Wednesday night entertainment crown for 2006! The 4th will be their launch night so head on down and shine some soul!
