Self-professedly the love child of Clash! and Spies In The Wires, Sick Note is a fledgling night taking over every single Thursday and offering us a mix of electro, new wave and fidget house, not to mention the occasional indie great to get us bopping. Playing host to the embryonic sounds of Semifinalists in December, the evening looks set to be a hit. Fronted by ex-Test Icicle Ferry Guow, the old-school disco/experimental rock group are promising a sneak preview of some of the tracks due to appear on their follow-up album to their self-titled debut. Supported by sets from the beloved and achingly hip Dogtooth Girls as well as Scottish Hobo Society and I Fly Spitfires DJs, the night is already looking messy in the best sense of the word, with a bombardment of £1.50 drinks offers available.
